Waterstream is celebrating our first awards wins of 2026 after securing multiple accolades at the prestigious 2026 SPATA Awards (Swimming Pool & Allied Trades Association), announced this week.
The SPATA Awards form part of the annual British Pool & Hot Tub Awards, held during SPATEX, the UK’s biggest wet leisure industry event. Each year, the awards highlight high‑quality and technically outstanding pool installations from across the country. The awards, which honour excellence across design, construction, innovation and engineering, recognise the very best projects delivered by SPATA members nationwide. This year, Waterstream has been recognised in the following categories:

Waterstream, the leading specialist in the UK swimming pool industry, marked a significant milestone on Friday 16th January, celebrating 20 years in business. The Waterstream team and their guests celebrated with a special anniversary party held at their newly renovated headquarters in Coolham, West Sussex. The event brought together the founders and their families, Waterstream team members, including many long‑standing colleagues, international partners and many others who have played a part in the company’s impressive growth over the past two decades.
Waterstream was founded by Alex Kemsley and Simon Dickson, two ambitious entrepreneurs who saw a gap in the UK market for premium swimming pools. In 2010 they became the sole UK distributor of Compass Pools. Over the past two decades the team have helped hundreds of customers choose the perfect location, style, and features for their dream pool, and the team continues to offer ongoing customer support even after the pool is in place.
From humble beginnings in Alex’s bedroom twenty years ago, Waterstream has since expanded to its current 1.6 acres site with a 4,000sq ft warehouse and bespoke production facilities. The state-of-the-art engineering hub allows the company to maintain full control over every aspect of production, from initial design to final installation, ensuring excellence in every project. The team has now grown to a team of 50 people, with over 600 swimming pools installed to date.

Party guests marked the 20‑year milestone in a vibrant setting filled with live music, a stylish cocktail bar and delicious food, creating the perfect atmosphere for reconnecting, reflecting on the journey so far and looking ahead to the future. The celebration capped off a year of major achievements for the business, including multiple industry award wins and strong sales growth across the UK.
The anniversary also highlighted Waterstream’s strong, long‑standing relationship with its international Compass Pools counterparts, many of whom travelled from across Europe to join the special occasion.
As the company enters its next chapter, the evening served as a reminder of how far Waterstream has come and the exciting opportunities ahead.
